"Alma Indigena" is a mural inspired by the photography of @diegohuertaphoto and the beautiful indigenous people of Jalisco. The mural features an indigenous Wixárika Elder with ingredients used in many native cultures, such as blue maize and guajillo peppers. Special thanks go to @beneath_thesurface for his skills and assistance on this project, @streettheorygallery for always providing logistical and managerial support, "Los Cuates" restaurant for the delicious meals, and @georgetownmainst for the support.

The project was made possible with the help of @muralsdc. The Wixárika are an indigenous people of Mexico and the United States who live in the Sierra Madre Occidental range in the states of Nayarit, Jalisco, Zacatecas, and Durango, as well as in the United States in the states of California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas.
