Mexica Warrior is a mural located in Sunset Park, a neighborhood in Brooklyn, NY. It was created in collaboration with ADIDAS to honor Mexico's return to the world cup. Mexicans are a proud people who demonstrate beauty and strength in everything they do. This mural celebrates their ancestors, heritage, and love of futbol.
The Aztec warrior wears a Neo Indigenous Quetzalcoatl helmet, adorned in both home and away futbol jerseys inspired by ancient civilizations. Adidas infused the Mexico away jersey with Mixtec art and Aztec deities to summon the fighting spirit required to rule the world of soccer. The Mexico home jersey displays the feathered headdress of the Aztec deity Queyzalcoatl. It was an honor for Marka27 to collaborate with ADIDAS on this unique project and share "orgullo para mi cultura" (pride for my culture).
